Welcome

This is the Weather Report!  Of course it's not a real weather report, and you're the only one who is going to be doing any reporting.  This website is set up as an web-based investigative look at the science behind weather.  Too often I find that weather is restricted to learning about seasons and severe weather like tornadoes and hurricanes, but imagine how you will wow and intrigue your friends when you can tell them exactly how and why those things happen!

This page is like a preview of the site, to explain what you will find information and whats on each of the individual pages that you see across the top of the screen.  Right now you are at the Control Center, where I have just welcomed you onto the site.  The next page that you will be going to is the Challenge page.  The Challenge Page is going to explain to you what you will be working towards fro the duration of the unit, your final project/evaluation if you will, so make sure you go there after you read this.  The next page of is the Student Action Plan page.  This button will drop down links, but if you click on the Student Action Plan link then it will take you a page that will have a further explanation of the unit, and things you will need to print out before you get started.

The links that you will find in the drop down menu from the Student Action Plan link are separate pages for all of the subtopics that you will be doing.  It will explain what kinds of things you will know by the end of that section, and it will also have things you may need to print out for lessons.  The next link the Teacher Resource link, you don't need to worry about this link because it's just for teacher.  This page contains lesson plan print outs, ideas for other lessons, necessary tools for lessons and some extra resources in case any are needed.

The last link is the Resources link, and this will take you to a page that has tons of resources for you to use and look through while you're studying weather.  This page will be very helpful to you along the way so I encourage you to visit it.  Now that you've read this page and have a feel for whats happening, go on and click on the Challenge Link to find out what you'll be working towards through the unit.
